Mr. Haru is a native Washingtonian who was adopted at 8 months old to a loving family as an only child. When he found his biological family in 1999 he was excited to learn that he had two sisters but saddened to find out that he also had one brother who was deceased.
Mr. Haru is a retired, undefeated professional boxer who was inducted into the Washington DC Boxing Hall of Fame in 2007. He has had over 200 amateur fights and is the winner of four Golden Gloves Championships, four ABF Championships, and he went to Russia to represent the United States in 1995 (ranked number one in the nation).
He is currently a Behavior Tech for a Washington, DC public school. He also volunteers as a boxing coach, working with at risk youth. He is also presently co-starring in a Randall Lawrence movie titled Second Chance.
Mr. Haru is the proud father of 6 children; 2 boys and 4 girls.
Mr. Haru is a man who gives back to the community and has worked with special needs children and at-risk youth for over 20 years. He is a God fearing, loving Father. He is a boxing coach.
